Photos

It's a lazy Saturday morning and I'm in the mood to blog (mainly because I can't go to the gym as I don't have a car - so annoyed!!!)

But anyway, gym aside, here are some photos from graduation and holiday in Tassie.

I'm starting CA in June - which will be tough (so people tell me). I'm doing auditing first, I had a quick look at the course material and it is SOOO BORING! No wonder people think accountants are boring. Well...not to say my job is more exciting, 4 volumes of the tax isn't exactly appealing either...
I'm entering a bake-off at work. I've decided to make choc-chip cookies and cupcakes. Maybe a slice too if I have time. I'm going to IKEA to check out a cake stand that was advertised in the paper a couple of weeks ago. I want to win! Hehe and make some delicious items of sugary goodness!

I miss...

  • the teens in Cowra - they're so cool + keen to know more about God
  • my friends - haven't properly caught up with u guys for ages
  • cordial - back to plain old water now
  • being a tourist
  • the American accent - ooh i love American accents
  • playing WOW. Yes I didn't play for long, but it left a lasting impression on me
  • mum's cooking

It's great to be back in Sydney. I haven't updated for ages. Well let me summarise my past 2 months in one super sentence.

"In my trip to the US of A, I met Mickey Mouse, stayed in a castle, ate NY cheesecake, bought lots of peanut butter candy and heard how nasal the Aussie accent really is, then went to Melbourne to spend NYE with my beau + family, rushed off to scorching hot Cowra to tell the teens the great news of Jesus the Christ, while getting an uneven tan."

Cowra was amazing! I'm so glad that I went to Zed this year, it really stretched me and took me out of my comfort zone. I also built up some amazing relationships with the Cowra teens - they are lovely kids that want to know more about God and how to relate to him. It's so awesome that through Breakout, we can reach kids from broken families, kids who really need someone to show them that God loves them.

I think we made it really clear to the Zeders that Breakout members return every year for the kids, because we love them and want them to know Jesus as Lord. Ahh I just love the relationships I have built up with the Cowra Christians, my girls in Klunk and my girls in Zed.

On another note, I attempted to make strawberry jelly slice. Not a good result, I'll try it again later this week. Yes, this slice is worth making! I had some at the ladies craft night and ooh it was delish.

I'm having a bonfire!

Finished my last exam EVER today. Hooray! No more uni. Burn the books, burn my notes burn burn burn. Except there's a fire ban and umm it's too hot to burn anything.

I'm increasing my diamond jewellry 1) diamond engagement ring 2) diamond necklace (from Ethan's parents). All I need now is a pair of diamond earrings *nudge nudge*

Action list: Cowra prep, holiday prep, watch Desperate Housewives season 3 (which is so much better than season 2, I really like season 3) and wedding planning. Keep 1 December 2007 free!

Yes there isn't much order in this blog post - today was such a great day. Finished uni, spent time with Ethan, received presents from Ethan's family and now looking forward to some sweet sweet sleep.

Procrastination time

Currently addicted to:
Reese's pieces. I can't wait to get to the US and start devouring all the peanut butter confectionary in sight!

I've finished uni! Here is a picture of my last class - I reckon Kam is one of the better teachers I've had during my double degree. You can see that annoying girl in green and Michael on the left.

I need to finish my tax essay and then a trusts takehome to be freeeeeeee.

Tomorrow is the Melbourne Cup, which means free lunch whoo hoo. I'm going to have banoffi pie mm looking forward to it.

A pic of Pepper on her walk - we taught a new trick! How to dance on command. I like that new show 'It's me or the dog' - it's Suppernanny for dogs!

:)

Ethan and I are engaged :)

It was a very romantic affair involving imaginary birds (were there any birds Queenie?), a sunrise hidden by the clouds hehe, champagne and chocolates.

Thanks for helping Di and Queenie - it was really lovely to have you guys share the moment with me. You too Anna for calling at a crazy time and waking up everyone in your room.

Ooh I have the bestest friends and the sweetest fiance

It's week 12 yay

Week 12 - my last week 12 ever!! Yay 3 weeks of uni left! That's 24 hours of classes to go, but if you don't count tax, then it's only 12 hours left!!

Deadlines are creeping up on me.
  • Dispute res essay (have started, need to finish)
  • Tax essay (need to start)
  • Trusts - need to read, then worry about finals
  • Cowra!!!!! Aiyaaa so disorganised - I don't even know where to start.

re: Cowra

What should I do? Pre-written studies on 2WTL or do the hard yards by writing studies on the biblical theology of relationships (yes you're probably wondering how that is diff to 2WTL)

I've been so free lately that I've been heaps slack on my responsibilites. Yikes yikes yikes, I am so bad :(
